Favorite Quote - Typography Poster

When I started this design process I wanted to utilize typography to convey the message boldly. The idea was to mix size, font, and color in a way that worked cohesively without distracting from the message, but rather adding to it. I didn’t want to use too many fonts, as that causes confusion, so I limited myself to three fonts max, but used varying boldness and color to create contrast. I also used all caps for one word which made it stand out differently from the rest, adding another element of contrast that also complimented the rest of the design. I used a blue background that would create a sharp contrast to white text in order to clearly communicate the message. I also added a rounded line design element that aided the hierarchy of the design and broke up the text so that it would be easily digested and draw the viewer’s eye throughout the design.
